Hires two employees for public works department

 The Sweet Springs City Council held a special meeting last Monday, Jan. 25, to set a date for a public hearing to discuss sewer rates. The council also held a closed session to discuss personnel.

Greyhounds escape with third place in Windsor Classic

Head Coach Tim Smith and his Greyhounds are getting used to close games, with the last four games coming down to the wire--- only this time things finished in the Hounds favor, as Sweet Springs held on for a nail-biting 43-42 win over Leeton in the third place game of the Windsor Classic tournament on Saturday.

Lady Hounds claim second in Windsor Classic

Higgins named Tournament MVP

 

The Sweet Springs Lady Greyhounds (12-4, 2-1 I-70) reached the championship game of the Windsor Greyhound Classic girls basketball tournament by racing past Green Ridge in the semifinals, enjoying on of their better all around games of the year.
